The quality of the design will be increased if the module is designed as if it meant to be extracted into a separate microservice in the future. It doesn’t matter when or if ever it’s going to be pulled away. It’s also not about preparing technical infrastructure for the extraction itself (e.g. http or event queues between modules) - that would be overkill if applied to all modules.
